INTRODUCTION TO MUSICAL THEATRE with Llew Marsh

Ages : 18 and above ( 2.5hours ) (Sunday)

LLEW MARSH is a multiple award winning Musical Director, Producer and Performer who is also a Quadruple Threat. He Sings, Acts, Dances and Plays the Piano and is vocal coach to many musical theatre performers who say he's inspiring, knowledgeable , fun, a joy to work with and some call him the Walking Dictionary of Musical Theatre!

SCENE STUDY CLASS FOR YOUNG ADULTS with Joanna Bessey


Ages : 15-21 yrs old ( 2hours )

Time : 11am – 1pm (Sundays)

A programme to concentrate on improving one's skill as an actor and learning acting techniques through doing intense scene studies and receiving critiques. Basic physical acting techniques (such as voice control) also taught.

Joanna Bessey has had an illustrious acting career in television, film and theatre, over the last 10 years. She studied and performed in theatre while in UK and then went on to study acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and also with Manu Tupou, American Repertory Theater in Los Angeles.

TELLING STORIES THROUGH IMAGINES AND CARTOONS By Manuela Chiaffi

Ages : 7-12 yrs old ( 2hours ) (Saturday & Sunday)

Time : 4:30pm-6:30pm

Course fee: RM250

Date: Apr 12,13,19,20, 26, 27 May 3 & 4

Registration: RM50 (Min:10 Max: 50)

The workshop aims to teach children how tell stories using cartoons. Using books to inspire children to choose some characters and situations to draw using cartoon techniques. The process will explain how cartoons are made and give them the opportunity to create their own. Steps for 3 techniques:

- Thaumatrope: the wonder turner. Used to create illusions of motion.

- Phenakistiscope : the spinning disc mounted vertically on a handle.

- Flip book: is a small book with a series of pictures that vary gradually from one page to the next.

Then the children will invent the own stories through creative games and theatre exercises. When the drawing and the newly created stories is ready, they will start performing using body and voice skills and expressions but also the drawing support in a final amusing presentation.


CHILDREN'S THEATRE PROGRAMME with Nala Nantha

Ages : 7-12 yrs old ( 2hours )

A 2- Semester programme for children aged between 3 - 12yrs olds. Consists of a series of fun-filled, exploratory, theatre based activities and games to help participants’ self-development by tapping into their creativity. Appropriate for beginners and those who have participated in other workshops. The participants will do a presentation showcasing what they have learnt at the end of Semester 2.

Nala Nantha, has experience in teaching children, teenagers, adults, children with special needs and the deaf. Even appeared in tv programmes and had done some vo assignments.

TEEN THEATRE PROGRAMME with Kennie Dowle


Ages : 13-17 yrs old ( 2.5hours ) (Saturday)

Time : 2pm – 4:30pm

This programme encourages participants to respond to instructions, be participative, work in team and be focused. They are also encouraged to engage in discussion relating to their social concerns.

Kennie Dowle trained as an actor and a teacher at Bretton Hall (University College of Leeds). He was involved in KLPac’s past production such as Julius Caesar and Frankenstein In Love.
